Chris has been an insurance broker for 30 years and is an ACII Chartered Insurance Broker. His career has taken him from starting his own brokerage at the tender age of 22, through senior positions with larger firms and eventually establishing Caunce O’Hara with Martin in 1995.
Likes sailing, family, Subway tuna salads @CaunceOHara
Martin began his journey in Insurance more than 35 years ago starting out as a commercial manager and over time went on to secure Commercial Director Title. He is an ACII Chartered Insurance Broker. Martin founded the business alongside Chris in 1995 and plays a key role in the strategic direction of the business.
Likes golf, Bolton Wanderers, sport in general @CaunceOHara
I’ve actually had two spells at Caunce O’Hara, I worked here back in 2008 and spent 4 years in our broking team before leaving to join a large insurance company. I just couldn’t stay away and now I’m responsible for the development and implementation of our business strategies.
Outside of work and unlike most of my colleagues it seems, I’m a Manchester United season ticket holder and love travelling.
I dislike unnecessary processes, pointless meetings and designer dogs! @CaunceOHara
I have adopted a variety of roles, as well as looking after the company’s finances. I’m currently a fan of……Golf, Football (Man City), NFL, cooking, family holidays & nights out with friends.
I’m not so keen on…….Mondays, getting back from holidays and Manchester United. @CaunceOHara
I joined the company 7 years ago as a schemes administrator. I work mostly with the schemes department, but do overlap into most departments within the business.
I'm currently a fan of learning to ride horses, riding my motorbike, keeping the garden tidy and my two huskies. @CaunceOHara
I joined 17 years ago (wow time flies) and I started as the Front of House Receptionist. Within a year or so I was working as a Schemes Account Handler and then 6 years ago I was made Schemes Director. No real qualifications to state...rather than go to college and progress, which all the family expected me to do.
I’m not so keen on football (well actually any sports) and sand. Yes I do actually have a phobia of sand…! @donnasmith
I joined the company in 2004 when the claims department still had paper files, I soon changed that! I’m currently a fan of………Manchester City always, Great British Bake Off and improving my painting techniques, on canvas not walls.
I’m not so keen on…….Dieting. I start a new diet every morning when I wake up and it usually lasts for an hour or so! @CaunceOHara
I've been in the industry for 10 years now and with Caunce O'Hara for 5. After working to achieve Chartered status I have progressed through the company and now lead the corporate division.
In my own time my favourite thing to do is spend time with my wife and two boys.
I also have an unhealthy interest in performance cars and motorsport in general @CaunceOHara
